I’m back for good now inshallah, I’m trying to update as often as possible seeing as I didn’t post anything in over a month 🙈.
Growing up, I remember always listening to one of Zain Bhikha’s newest songs and playing them on repeat and just loving them(still do). It wasn’t the rhythm or drums or the background music, no it was always the lyrics and the meaning behind each verse that got to me. So here it is, Enjoy!
The heart of a Muslim is sincere
The heart of a Muslim must be strong
The heart of a Muslim is filled with love
The heart of a Muslim does what’s right
For the heart of a Muslim does not lie
Allah looks not at how you look, but what is in your heart ❤
I know that I wrote in my last post that I’d post something, anything, once in a while but I’ve been crazy busy. I started Uni (alhamdulillah) just days after my last post, but since Uni is far far far away(a couple of hours from home) I’ve had to move from home :’). But Alhamdulillah I’m having the time of my life at Uni, I love the fact that I come home every single day having learnt something that I didn’t know when I left for school that morning.
How have you guys been? It’s been a really long time since my last post😔, but it was very difficult to post during Ramadan and then I went abroad. I had a really nice Eid that I got to celebrate with some relatives that I hadn’t seen in ages(literally). Anyways, it was really awesome to experience a Muslim country and hearing the adhaan(call for prayer) for every single prayer wherever you were . What was even more amazing was the fact that everyone dropped whatever they were doing and found someplace to pray, may it be a nearby mosque or some other place to pray. If you were out shopping and there wasn’t a mosque nearby, people would pray in the shops where the shopkeeper would even offer you a place to pray and a prayer mat to pray on.
So, Alhamdulillah I got to experience this hospitality that I’ve never really experienced before. And the fact that everyone was so nice to each other simply because you happened to share the religion Subhanaallah. I wish that all Muslim in Sweden would be nice to each other simply because they have the same faith, however sometimes you see two Muslims fighting solely because both of them are Muslim.
However, it is nice to be back here in Sweden after being away for almost a month. Home sweet home, right? This trip really put a great deal of things into perspective, from how you should behave towards another Muslim to what an ideal Muslim country should look like. I also learned a lot about Islam in this month, seeing as the majority of the population where Muslims and therefore acting according to Islam.
Inshallah, if Allah wills, I’ll post more frequently and it won’t be these long post that I’ve been posting lately seeing as I’m starting university soon😁😁. I’d rather post something short or just a video than not posting at all.
Today is a very blessed day not only is it Friday but it is also Ramadan, therefore we must spend this day extremely wisely.
Fasting yesterday wasn’t as difficult as I thought, but the first day is always the easiest. How did it go for you? Here in Sweden we eat suhoor at 2 am and iftaar at 10 pm, that’s a grand total of 20 hours without food! But Alhamdulillah it didn’t feel that much(maybe because I woke up at noon😆) Continue reading →
How have you guys been for the past (almost😁) three months?
As I mentioned in a previous post I had loads and loads of school work just before graduation, but Alhamdulillah I graduated last week🎓🎉. It really feels great having graduated, feels like I can breath again. No more school for me Yaaaayyy. Haha NOT, I have more school and studying to look forward to after the summer (poor me). 😢. I have been meaning to post after the final exams, but Subhanaallah I’ve had a lot on my mind and been really stressed out. Continue reading →
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day speak good, or keep silent; and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his neighbour; and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his guest.[Al-Bukhari][Muslim]
On the authority of Anas bin Malik, the servant of the messenger of Allah, that the prophet (saw) said: “None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]
This is just as much a reminder for me as for you. You should treat people with the respect that you want them to treat you with, wish for them what you wish for yourself and love for them what you love for yourself.
