The Heart of Muslim

Assalamu aleikum

I’m back for good now inshallah, I’m trying to update as often as possible seeing as I didn’t post anything in over a month 🙈.

Growing up, I remember always listening to one of Zain Bhikha’s newest songs and playing them on repeat and just loving them(still do). It wasn’t the rhythm or drums or the background music, no it was always the lyrics and the meaning behind each verse that got to me. So here it is, Enjoy!

The heart of a Muslim is sincere

The heart of a Muslim must be strong

The heart of a Muslim is filled with love

The heart of a Muslim does what’s right

For the heart of a Muslim does not lie

Allah looks not at how you look, but what is in your heart ❤

Love For Your Brother What You Love for Yourself

image

On the authority of Anas bin Malik, the servant of the messenger of Allah, that the prophet (saw) said: “None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]

This is just as much a reminder for me as for you. You should treat people with the respect that you want them to treat you with, wish for them what you wish for yourself and love for them what you love for yourself.

Love and Salam

Kill ’em With Love❤️

“It’s a big place. We can all live together in this world. I invite you all to join me in this jihad of love, and see first hand why fundamentalism still begins with fun. And if you don’t agree I won’t even judge. I just kill you all with love.” Amazing video!!

Speak Words of Peace

And the servants of  the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, (Quran 25:63)

Peace ✋

Hijab, Our Identity

Assalamu aleikum

I hope that you are all doing fine.

I noticed that more than 50 percent of all my viewers are in America and Canada, it’s awesome that people on the other side of the world are reading my blog :D. Yaay!!!

Anyways, is it just me or do people (not everyone) on the bus and the subway tend to avoid people like me (black, female,  Muslim, hijabi)? Continue reading
